Virgin Holidays- Rockstar Service

At Virgin Holidays, we believe amazing service should come as standard. That’s why Virgin Holiday’s magic touches are made available to all Virgin Holidays customers – not just the VIPs!

We realise that you want to make the most of being on holiday, so we came up with Check in, Chill out, so you can check in for your flight without leaving the beach…or bar.  Airports are a drag.  The holiday only really starts when you get to your destination.  And if you’ve got kids, then airports are living nightmares.  So, to perk up the airport experience, we came up with the VRoom. And when you’re on holiday, you want to make sure it’s as good as it can be.  That’s where Virgin Holidays’ Concierge service comes in – a concierge actually tuned in to the buzz of your destination, not a guy in a suit on kick backs from rip-off restaurants. This belief is what sets Virgin Holidays apart from the competition. That’s why we actually encourage our customers to ‘Ask For the World’.

But how do you express that exclusive treatment in a single thought.  What do Virgin Holidays offer that no-one else does?  We think it can be described as…

“ROCKSTAR SERVICE”

It’s a level of care you’d normally associate with the glamour and excitement of the entertainment elite.  Made available to every Virgin Holidays customer.

The Rockstar Service campaign is the latest creative expression of this belief. With Virgin Holidays, you can rest assured that you’ll get intuitive, imaginative typically brilliant twinkle-in-the-eye Virgin service, every single time you travel with us.

The Famous Canary Islands

The Famous Canary Islands

This archipelago of islands lie just off the coast of mainland Africa. There are ten islands in all with the largest being Tenerife and the smallest is Montana Clara. The climate and the beaches are the main natural attractions for the twelve million tourists who travel here every year.  Most of these visitors will stay on Tenerife where the Teide National Park is located.  Also on this island is the Spain’s highest mountain and the worlds’ third largest volcano.  The climate here is sub tropical and in the summer the days are longer and hotter then those during the winter.  Many people will make their Tenerife holiday an annual event.

It is said that the original inhabitants once worshiped dogs.  They treated these dogs as holy animals and even mummified them. Today, Tenerife is the most populated island of Spain with over 865 thousand inhabitants. All of the Canary Islands are volcanic in origin as they rose from the Jurassic ocean crust. Spain has thirteen national parks and four of these are found on these islands and this is more than any other autonomous community.

It has been documented that before the aborigines came to these islands, it was inhabited by the giant lizards and rats. When they were visited by the Carthaginians under Hanno the Navigator, they claimed to have seen ruins of great building on these island. This tells us that there must have been other inhabitants before the Guanches. The economy here is base on tourism which make up about thirty-two percent of the GDP.  Tobacco and bananas are grown here and exported to American and Europe.  Although economists are concerned about their resources, there are also other agricultural resources of potatoes, sugarcane, grapes, dates, lemons, oranges and onions to name just a few.  Holidays to Canary Islands is full of history and adventure.  You could say there is something for everyone here and that would be true. Here you can relax in the sun, dance the night away or surf, bike, hike, water ski and attempt sailboarding on your next trip here.  In recent years both scuba diving and underwater photography have given biologists new insights on the marine life around these islands. These island see five different species of ocean turtles with the most common being the Loggerhead turtle which is now on the endangered list.     The Short finned Pilot whale is also seen here and so are Bottlenose dolphins.

A classic in modern times

A classic in modern times

A lot of the trend in modern times is to go back to older days. Retro has never been as modern as it is right now. Even in the competitive world of high fashion there is always a tendency to resuscitate old trends and integrating them with modern takes on old fashion. But high couture isn’t the only world when it’s fashionable to go back in fashion; normal clothing stores are full of “remember the 60’s 70’s or 80’s” trends, home décor often sees some comebacks of old objects with a slightly modern twist (remember the lava lamps?) and even cars of old are making a comeback to modern day dealerships.

The Volkswagen Beatle and the Mini made a huge comeback a couple of years ago, but when it comes to cars there also a strange trend when these cars came out. Classic car hire companies saw an increase in rentals of old school Minis and Beatles, with people clearly sending out the message that, in some cases, old is best.

There is definitely a lot of pleasure involved in driving an older car, a car from times that putting your foot down the accelerator actually caused a physical response in the engine instead of sending a bunch of information to an onboard computer.

Capitalizing on Warwickshire

Capitalizing on Warwickshire

One of the oldest counties in England, and one of the ones with the most history is Warwickshire. It suffices to say that the birthplace of William Shakespeare in is Warwickshire for you to understand the immense tourist potential of the county. As of late, we’ve seen a lot more development taking place in the county, especially high class tourist. Thinking about luxury hotels Warwickshire might be something that makes a few British people give out a smile, but the potential for success is there, and that’s what is being developed.

It works for both the businessman and for the tourist. Conducting business in large towns, like London, Manchester, Liverpool, etc. isn’t the best option for a quiet business exchange. Having the option of conducting business in a luxury hotel in the midst of a beautiful and relaxing country landscape is definitely appealing. And the same works for the tourist. Relaxation isn’t something that you need to strive for in Warwickshire, not even in Warwick, the county’s capital. And the modern tourist is demanding, and the set of options that he takes is growing. The times that tourism meant being at a beach getting a tan are over, people want something different, and Warwickshire can give that.
